Decomposing body found in Mandeville

Mandeville, Manchester — The decomposing body of a man was this morning found behind a building which once housed the telecommunications company Cable and Wireless on Hargreaves Avenue here.

The Manchester police said that they were alerted to the scene at about 9:30am.

It is reported that people who work in the area smelled a foul odour from yesterday.

Members of the Manchester Fire Department and the police were in the process of removing unidentified body early afternoon.

The police said that arrangements have been made to have a postmortem done on the spot.
