KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Ministry of Labour and Social Security is advising that National Insurance Scheme (NIS) pensioners who receive payment directly to their bank accounts will experience some delays.

The ministry, in apologising for the delay, said payments due on June 15, will be credited to accounts on or before Tuesday, June 18.

The delay is said to be due to challenges being experienced by the ministry's financial service provider.

For further information, the ministry said contact can be made with the nearest NIS office or call the main office at (876) 929-4206.
