ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Demar Scott, the man charged with rape of two guests at a hotel in Montego Bay last month, is now in the custody of the St Elizabeth police and is likely to be charged with rape and other crimes committed in Balaclava in 2012, police say.

Deputy Superintendent Leroy Minott of the St Elizabeth police told the monthly meeting of the St Elizabeth Municipal Corporation today that forensic evidence had linked Scott to an incident involving rape, burglary and robbery in Balaclava six years ago.

The Manchester police are also waiting to place Scott on identification parades in relation to six rape cases in Mandeville last year. More information later.
