PEOPLE’S National Party candidate for St Mary South East Dr Winston Green has been nominated.

Dr Green handed in his nomination paper about 1:20 pm today.

He was accompanied by senators, AJ Nicholson and Naval Clarke as well as Harry Douglas and other members of his executive team.

A large crowd of flag-waving and horn-tooting supporters also accompanied Green to the nomination centre at the electoral office in Annotto Bay.

Shortly after Green was declared duly nominated, he expressed confidence of victory when the polls close on December 29.

Green’s opponent, Richard Creary of the Jamaica Labour Party, was nominated earlier.

Both candidates and their supporters are now touring sections of the constituency.
