Drug mule pleads guilty

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A St Catherine woman is to be sentenced on June 3 after pleading guilty to allegations that she attempted to export ganja in her vagina.

Shannalee Ferguson, a 31-year-old resident of a Central Village address, pleaded guilty to the charges of possession of ganja, dealing in ganja, taking steps to export ganja when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

She was remanded into custody for sentencing and a fingerprint order made.

The woman was held recently with two and a half pounds of the weed in her vagina.

A social enquiry report into the woman's background was requested for sentencing.
