PORT ANTONIO, Portland — Hundreds of shoppers turned out in Port Antonio to support Jamaica Observer Celebrates Fashion Night Out at registered stores in the town Thursday.
Along West Street shoppers were very active as the police kept a close eye on the activities.
Some of the stores provided music and had people inviting customers inside with examples of the available bargains.
Lees Mini Mart, Essies, Ajan and SBR Fashions was abuzz with activity, while in the town-square Otiwa Fashions placed tents outside to accommodate eager patrons.
Much activity was also seen at appliance stores such as Diamond and Courts Jamaica.
The one draw back voiced by many FNO shoppers was that they did not have enough funds to take advantage of the many discounts.
In general however the turnout, although impressive, was not as large as last year.
