Farmer suspected of drowning at Half Moon Beach

HANOVER, Jamaica — A farmer is suspected of drowning when the kayak he was operating at the Half Moon Beach in Hanover capsized yesterday.

The police say 31-year-old Charleston Wright of a Prospect, Hanover address, reportedly encountered difficulties and drowned in the incident.

The incident happened about 11:30 am.

Wright was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police said investigations continue.
