KINGSTON, Jamaica - A father and son are among three people who drowned after the truck in which they were travelling plunged into the Rio Cobre Wednesday night

They are 45-year-old Michael Nicholas, his 18-year-old son Travis and 25-year-old Kemar Watt.

A fourth man was rescued from the truck by divers.

The Police this morning confirmed that at about 9:00pm the driver of the truck failed to negotiate the right angle turn to enter the Flat Bridge in the Bog Walk Gorge resulting in the fatal plunge.

"All three persons have drowned," police told the Observer.

In the meantime the police have advised that the Bog Walk Gorge is now closed to facilitate the removal of the truck.
