Female security guard killed in Port Maria

PORT MARIA, St. Mary – Investigators in St Mary are probing the circumstances surrounding the murder of a security guard at the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) office in the parish capital this morning.
The dead woman has been identified as Kenisha Whyte, 27, of Flint River in Richmond in the parish.
Police have not yet released details into the incident, however the woman’s throat was slashed.
She was reportedly found lying in a pool of blood inside the building shortly before seven this morning.
Business at the office, which is located on Stennett Street in the parish capital, has been suspended for today.
The Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) is also probing the incident.
