Firearm, ammo seized downtown Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- The police seized a firearm and several rounds of ammunition from a man in the Wolmer’s Parking Lot, South Parade, Kingston, on Saturday, April 5.

Reports from the Kingston Central Police are that about 7:45 pm lawmen were on patrol in the area when a man was seen acting suspiciously. He was accosted and searched and a Browning 9mm pistol and a magazine with thirteen 9mm cartridges were taken from him.

The police are withholding his identity pending further investigations.
