Firearm, ammo seized in Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- One firearm and several rounds of ammunition were seized by a police team on Sunday, March 10, in Kingston Central. 

The Central Police said that about 10:05 pm, a team of officers were on patrol on Barry Street and Georges Lane when they observed a man acting suspiciously. The man was searched and a Browning 9mm pistol along with twelve 9mm cartiridges were found in his possession.

The man was arrested in relation to the seizure; however his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
