Firearm seized in Kintyre, 2 arrested

KINGSTON, Jamaica - A firearm was seized and two people arrested in Kintyre, St Andrew this morning.

A Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol and a magazine with 12 9mm cartridges were found on a premises in Ackee Walk in the area at about 5:00am during a joint operation between the military and police.

The identities of the two people  arrested are being withheld pending investigations.
