Foster Hylton, Greaves out

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Shermaine Williams is the only Jamaica 100m hurdler progressing to the semi finals as both national champion Brigitte Foster Hylton and newcomer Latoya Greaves failed in their bid.

Reports are that Greaves is injured while Foster Hylton finished down the track in her heat after hitting a hurdle

Foster Hylton ended her quest for an Olympic medal in tears. She hit hurdle four lost her balance and a chance to progress to the semi final.

American Lolo Jones was the first to comfort Foster Hylton as she curled up in grief on he track.

"I'm heartbroken for Brigitte In devastated for her," Jones said.
