Four people shot dead in Linstead

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of four people in Linstead St Catherine Wednesday night.

The four have been identified as 20-year-old Shana- Kay Simpson, 35-year-old Garfield Simpson, also known as Miguel, 25-year-old Recodel Jackson and 43-year-old Dean Pratt, all of Middleton district in Linstead.

According to the police’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), Shana- Kay and Garfield Simpson were standing along the roadway when armed men wearing black masks attacked and shot them.

Later, the men reportedly went to a shop in the community where they attempted to rob a woman who was in the company of Jackson. They fired shots killing Jackson and Pratt – who was driving by in his motor vehicle at the time.

The four were pronounced dead at hospital.
