Four alleged robbers nabbed while fleeing scene

ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The police nabbed four suspected robbers and seized two firearms Friday night on Constant Spring Road in St Andrew.

According to reports from the Constant Spring police, a team of officers was on patrol in the area when they received information about a robbery in progress in Russell Heights in the parish.

The lawmen said a Toyota Probox motorcar, fitting the description of the getaway car, was intercepted about 11:00 pm and the vehicle and its occupants were searched.

One Browning 9mm Pistol along with a magazine containing six 9mm cartridges and a Sig Sauer P226 fitted with a magazine containing six 9mm cartridges, were reportedly found during the search.

The identities of the men taken into custody are being withheld pending further investigations.
