Four arrested after cops find 2 guns in St Mary traffic stop

ST MARY, Jamaica — Four people, including a female, were yesterday arrested in connection with the seizure of two firearms and 48 assorted rounds of ammunition.

The four individuals, whose name the police have withheld, were reportedly travelling in a vehicle along the Georgia main road in Annotto Bay, St Mary when they were searched during a traffic stop about 11:45 am.

The police said one Springfield 40 pistol; one Ruger 9mm pistol; three magazines; thirteen 40 calibre rounds of ammunition; and thirty-five 9mm rounds of ammunition, were found during the search.

Investigations continue.
