Funeral of 7-y-o Clan Carthy student set for Sunday

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Ministry of Education, Youth and Information, says that Minister Karl Samuda has committed to providing additional emotional and other psycho-social support to the family of young Benjamin Bair after he met with the child's mother, Japhene Campbell at the Ministry's National Heroes Circle head office ahead of the funeral services for her son on Sunday.

Seven-year-old Benjamin was killed in a tragic accident at the Clan Carthy Primary School on Monday, October 28.

The Ministry said that during the meeting yesterday, Thursday, December 5, Samuda discussed arrangements for Benjamin's funeral, which will be held atthe North Street Seventh Day Adventist Church onSunday, December 8.

Samuda also restated the government's commitment to fully cover the costs of the burial.
