Gayle, Samuels back in Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels are back on the island after the West Indies’ historic win in the International Cricket Council’s Twenty20 competition on the weekend.

The two arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport at about 3:15PM.

Digicel, the official sponsor of West Indies cricket, has arranged a press conference to mark the cricketers’ return.

State minister of Sports, Natalie Neita-Headley and Tourism minister, Wykeham McNeill will attend the press conference, scheduled for the Office of the Prime Minister.

Both Gayle and Samuels played key roles on the team which defeated host Sri Lanka, by 36 runs on Sunday.
