Gov’t won’t allow IMF agreement to stifle country’s growth – Phillips
FINANCE Minister Dr Peter Phillips says while Jamaica is committed to an IMF agreement, the PNP administration will not allow such an arrangement to stifle Jamaica’s growth and development.
Phillips made the disclosure during a special presentation to hundreds of delegates attending the private session of the party's 74th annual conference yesterday.
As he did in Parliament last week, Philips told delegates that there is no delay in signing an IMF deal and that discussions with the Fund continue as scheduled.
