Gunman killed in robbery attempt identified

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The man who was fatally shot after he allegedly robbed a businessman and several residents on Saxthorpe Avenue in St Andrew this morning has been identified.
He is Christopher Bingham, of Park Lane, off Red Hills Road, Kingston 10.
Bingham was shot dead shortly after 6:00 this morning, following an incident in which it is alleged that Bingham robbed businessman Winston Josephs of valuables then shot him.
Josephs, who was a licensed firearm holder, challenged Bingham, and he too was fatally shot.
