Gunman disarmed during attack in St Catherine

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica— A gunman was yesterday disarmed by a citizen during an attack on the Greendale main road in St Catherine, the police have reported.

According to the police, a man was standing along the roadway about 11:40 am when he was approached by the gunman.

The police said, a confrontation ensued between them and the gunman was disarmed.

The police were called and the firearm – a Browning 9mm pistol – was handed over to them.

Lawmen said the search for the suspect is ongoing.
