HEART, NYS, JFLL and Apprenticeship Board to merge under Ministry of Education

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Heart Trust NTA, the National Youth Service (NYS), the Jamaican Foundation for Lifelong Learning (JFLL) and the Apprenticeship board will be merged under the Ministry of Education.
According to a press advertisement by the Ministry of Education today, the merger is in support of Jamaica's Economic Growth Agenda.

Under the theme 'Stronger Together', “the merged entity will be more efficient, streamlined and dynamic organization which will serve our customers better,” the ministry stated.

The ministry said customers will benefit from increased access to training and certification services, youth services, apprenticeship programmes, and lifelong learning programmes – including the High School Diploma equivalency.
