Half-Way-Tree police seek help identifying two bodies

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Half Way Tree Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the bodies of two men who died recently at separate locations in the Corporate Area.

In the first instance the police say that the body of an unidentified man was found in an open lot on Hope Road, Kingston 6 on Sunday, July 29.

The body is believed to be between 30 and 35 years old and is of dark complexion, medium build, and about 5 feet 8 inches long. The body has unkempt hair, a beard and was clad in a black short-sleeved Polo T-shirt, khaki pants and a pair of brown socks.

Reports from the police are that about 11:55 am residents stumbled upon the partially decomposed body and alerted them.

In the other instance an injured man was found on St Lucia Avenue, Kingston 5 on Sunday, August 5.

Police reports are that about 2:25 pm, residents observed an altercation between two men. One man allegedly used a stone to strike the other man and ran away. The police were alerted and the injured man taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries

He is believed to be in the late fifties and is of dark complexion, medium build, and about 5 feet 8 inches long. The body has a low-cut hairstyle and was clad in black pants and was barefooted

The police are appealing to anyone who might be able to help them identify the bodies or assist with the investigation in any way to contact them at 876-926-8184-5, Crime Stop at 311 or the Police 119 emergency number.
