KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Manufacturers' Association Limited (JMA) today announced a merger with the Jamaica Exporters Association Limited (JEA) and a subsequent name change to The Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association Limited (JMEA).

In a release this evening, the JMA said the new name reflects another step in the process of the coming together of these two organisations in the national interest to achieve significant growth for Jamaica through the expansion of manufacturing and export.

It said the operations of the JMEA will be expansive representing manufacturing, mining, services and primary products in the local and global marketplace.

The JMEA will be located at 85A Duke Street, Kingston (current location of the former JMA).

The directors of the JMEA will be elected at the Annual General Meeting scheduled for Friday, June 29, commencing at 10:00 am at 85A Duke Street.
