KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) buses came under attack along the Washington Boulevard in St Andrew Monday morning.

Police report that the buses were stoned by a group of men who mounted a roadblock along the busy thoroughfare into the Capital city.

"I was in a number 32 buses heading to Half Way Tree and the bus, along with one in front were stoned," a passenger in one of the buses told OBSERVER ONLINE.

No one was injured, but the incident caused major traffic congestion. Police were later called to the location and the road blocks cleared.

The roadblock occurred near the bridge at Patrick City.

More information later.
