A teenager who just last week graduated from Jamaica College, was one of four men cut down by lawmen in Central Village, St Catherine in an alleged shootout this morning. He has been identified as 17-year-old Tyrone Reid.
The others have been identified as ex-soldier Dwayne Johnson, 29, and two only by their aliases 'Kevin' and 'Jermaine'.
Residents reported hearing gunshots about 5:00 am. When they went to investigate the bodies of the men were found.
"Three of the men were travelling in a car coming from a dance when the police fired several shots at the car," one resident claimed.
Another resident alleged that the 17-year-old boy was not with the group but was in a nearby house when he was killed.
"A more than five shot the youngest youth get, a just last week the little youth graduate and them come deal with him so," said another irate resident.
The irate residents have also have called for the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) to launch a speedy investigation in the matter.
"We need help! Where is INDECOM? They are coming too late on the crime scene and getting tailored information," another woman hollered.
