Killing of pig lands men in RM court
Sunday, November 25, 2012 | 10:25 AM
KINGSTON, Jamaica – People in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's court erupted in laughter Friday when a father and son appeared for killing a pregnant pig.
The accused, Andrew Beacon Senior and Junior however denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to malicious destruction of property.
According to the complainant, the Beacons told him that his pig ate their lamb. The complainant said that the two men later chased, stoned and beat his eight-month pregnant pig causing its death.
The pig was reportedly found dead with several stones beside it in an open lot in Tower Hill, Kingston 11 where the accused and the complainant reside.
The Beacons are scheduled to return to court on January 21 for trial next year.
