Leeward Islands 35-0 in reply to Scorpions 261

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Leeward Islands Hurricanes have made a positive start at 35 without loss at lunch in response to the Jamaica Scorpions 261 on day three of their regional four-day cricket match at Sabina Park on Saturday.

Captain Kieran Powell who is on 11 and Montcin Hodge on 20 ensured the visitors made a steady start.

Earlier, the Scorpions resuming on 182-7, pushed on to 235 all out to set the Hurricanes a victory target of 262.

Medium pacer Sheno Berridge was the pick of the Hurricanes bowlers with 5-59, supported by Chaim Holder who had 2-57.

Scores: Scorpions 197 (59.1 ovs) and 235 (59.1 ovs); Hurricanes 171 (78.3 ovs) and 35-0 (12 ovs)
