Monday, July 30, 2012 | 1:28 PM

KINGSTON, Jamaica — TWENTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD Alia Atkinson will compete out of lane 8 at 2:13 this afternoon in the women's 100 metre breaststroke final.

The young Jamaican is on track to win the island’s first Olympic medal in swimming, despite having the slowest qualifying time.

Atkinson this morning said her strategy for the final would be similar to yesterday, where she beat Canadian Tera Van Beilen in a swim off.

Both swimmers had to compete for the final spot in today's race after they tied at 1:07.48 in the semi-finals.

Here is the line up for the breaststroke final scheduled to start 2:13 Jamaican time.
