Man killed in Bedward Gardens

KINGSTON, Jamaica - A 50 year old man was shot and killed in Bedward Gardens, Kingston 7 last night.

The victim has been identified as Merrick Taylor, also called ‘Benjie’, a concrete block maker.

Police report that the murder took place sometime after 9:30 when men, who identified themselves as police, knocked on his window.

Taylor opened his door and was shot multiple times by the men.

He was taken to hospital where he died while undergoing operation some time after eleven o’clock.

No motive has been established for the killing.
