Man killed in confrontation with police

A man was shot and killed in a confrontation with police in Negril, Westmoreland yesterday.

Reports are that Walden Cunningham, 37, was fatally shot in the Whitehall area around 5:45 pm.

Circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown.

A Colt .45 pistol and three .45 cartridges were seized.

The matter has been reported to the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
