TWENTY-year-old Rodell Hall of Bird Hill in Salt Spring, St James was killed by unknown assailants in Bump district, Salt Spring Road this morning.

Police report that about 2:10 am, Hall was in a taxi travelling along Salt Spring Road when a group of armed men blocked the roadway, bringing the taxi to a halt.

Hall was reportedly taken from the vehicle and shot. The armed men also used building blocks and stones to inflict wounds to his body. Lawmen that were patrolling the area approached the men who opened fire at them, before making their escape.

Hall was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
