Man arrested in Westmoreland gun find

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — The police have arrested a man in connection with the seizure of a firearm during an operation on Seaton Crescent in Westmoreland last evening.

Charged with illegal firearm and ammunition is 40-year-old Roderick Cooke otherwise called 'Roger', a labourer of the said address.

His arrest follows the seizure of a .380 Hi-Point pistol along with a magazine containing one cartridge, which the police reportedly found during the search of a premises about 6:20 pm.

He is to appear before the Western Regional Gun Court at a later date.
