Man shot dead in Kingston 11

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are reporting that a man was shot dead by a lone gunman along Binns Road in Kingston 11 on Monday.

The dead man has been identified as 27-year-old Garfield Henry, otherwise called 'Shane', unemployed of Dewdney Road also in Kingston 11.

Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that Henry was standing along the roadway about 11:55 am when it is alleged he was pounced on by a lone gunman who opened fire, hitting him in the upper body.

The gunman reportedly made good on his escape on foot in the area. Henry was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
