Manchester cabbie charged for rape of 12-y-o

Mandeville, Manchester — Durrant Levy a taxi operator of a Greenvale address here was charged on Thursday with the rape of a twelve year old girl on October 4.

The Manchester police said that the accused was pointed out during an identification parade.

Forty-nine year old Levy allegedly molested the child, known to be his goddaughter, while taking her home from school.

She reported the incident to her family and the police arrested Levy the following day.

Levy who is still in police custody is expected to make his first appearance in the Mandeville Resident Magistrates court on Wednesday.
