May Pen police find submachine gun in crocus bag

CLARENDON, Jamaica-- The police have reported the discovery of a submachine gun on Bucks Avenue in May Pen, Clarendon Wednesday morning. 

The weapon was discovered about 9:20 am in a crocus bag in an open lot during an operation in the Clarendon capital town. 

No one was arrested in relation to the discovery. However investigations are ongoing, the police say.

Detectives are now appealing to anyone who may have information that can assist in this investigation to contact them at 986-2529, Crime Stop at 311, 811 or, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
