LONDON, England — Favourites Brazil were toppled by CONCACAF team Mexico who put in a gritty display to deny Brazil of the gold medal at the Wembley Stadium in London.
The Mexicans harried their much touted opponents throughout the 90 minutes to lead by two goals before Brazil managed to pull back one in the dying minutes.
The result means the Brazilians will have to wait another four years for a chance at winning the elusive gold medal.
