KINGSTON, Jamaica — Miss Jamaica World Solange Sinclair returned to Jamaica this morning after finishing in the top 10 and copping the Caribbean Queen of Beauty award at the Miss World pageant in Sanya, China recently.

The 24-year-old was met on arrival at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston by senior advisor in the Ministry of Tourism Delano Seiveright and head of Miss Jamaica World organisation, Mickey Haughton-James.

“Solange has made our country proud. She was very popular and her fluency in Spanish and French endeared her to a lot of people. She represented Jamaica very well and also gave our island nation a lot of positive publicity globally,” said Seiveright.

He noted that the Government of Jamaica will work closely with Sinclair and the Miss Jamaica World organisation in achieving their national and international social objectives.

Sinclair, a marketing and advertising executive, is cousin of 2014 Miss Universe Jamaica title holder Kaci Fennell, and granddaughter of late Jamaican Hollywood actress Madge Sinclair. She is also niece of Cable & Wireless Caribbean president Garry Sinclair.
