Monday, November 26, 2012 | 5:43 PM

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A Surface Trough currently over the central Caribbean has been producing an area of showers from Hispaniola to Jamaica over the past 24 to 48 hours, the Meteorological Service has reported.

According to the Met Service the Trough is expected to remain nearly stationary. A Cold Front now across the western Caribbean is also expected to move close to Jamaica on Tuesday.

The projection therefore is for rainfall to continue to affect sections of Jamaica, especially over northern parishes, during the next two days.
