Thursday, February 14, 2013 | 9:36 PM
MANDEVILLE, Manchester – The Manchester police are confirming that charges will be brought against the mother of slain teenager Martha Byrowe whose body was found at her home in Top Albion, Manchester on Ash Wednesday.
“She (teenager’s mother) is not now in custody but we will definitely be charging her under the Child Care and Protection Act tomorrow (Friday),” Supt Marlon Nesbeth, head of the Manchester police said late Thursday.
Reports are that neighbours on Wednesday discovered the girl’s body with stab wounds inside her house sometime after 1:00pm and called the police.
A man, identified only as Bruce, said to be the teenager’s lover and with whom she allegedly lived in Top Albion, is now on the run and is being sought by the police.
