Murder on Maxfield Avenue

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Police this morning blocked a section of Maxfield Avenue close to Half Way Tree in St Andrew after the shooting death of a man at a business place along the busy thoroughfare.

Reports are that the victim is Robert Mendez an employee of Payless Motors located near the intersection of Cargill and Maxfield avenues. A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time, however preliminary reports are that gunmen entered the establishment mid-morning and shot Mendez, a custom broker.
