Netball Jamaica Second VP Cora Ricketts dies

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Netball Jamaica yesterday announced the passing of Cora Ricketts, the second vice president of the organisation.

Netball Jamaica, in a release, said that Ricketts passed on Sunday.

“Ricketts has been associated with netball in various capacities and was well known and respected for her passion for and dedication and loyalty to the sport,” the sport organisation stated.

Meanwhile, Sport Minister Olivia Grange, in expressing condolences, said,“with Cora's untimely departure, the netball fraternity in Jamaica has lost a stalwart in the administration of the sport, someone who was totally dedicated to the advancement of netball and who served well on the Board of Netball Jamaica.”
