KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Iran and Nigeria played to a goalless draw in their World Cup Group F encounter on Monday.

Watched by approximately 38,081 fans at the Arena da Baixada it is the first drawn game since the tournament started five days ago with some 14 matches.

The Super Eagles, with 63 per cent, had the majority of possession but did not have things entirely their own way as the Iranians, depending on the counter attack, gave them anxious moments ever so often.

Argentina defeated Bosnia 2-1 in the opening Group F match.
