A man was shot dead this morning outside the Lannaman's Preparatory School in Kingston, moments after dropping off his son at the institution.

2.Flooding on Mandela Highway

Afternoon rain has caused flooding on Mandela Highway in the vicinity of Nestle Jamaica Ltd, resulting in motorists heading towards St Catherine being allowed to use a section of the corridor that is currently under construction.

3.Above rocks residents threaten to destroy JUTC buses after fatal crash

Residents of the Above Rocks community in St Catherine have allegedly threatened to damage Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) buses in retaliation over a fatal crash in the community last evening.

4.Three Miles bypass to be completed in two weeks

The new US$1-million bypass for Three Miles in St Andrew that is being constructed to help ease traffic congestion in the Corporate Area should be completed within the next two weeks.

5.One of St James most wanted killed, hunt continues for second

One of Jamaica's most wanted men was this morning shot dead in a major military operation in Richmond Hill, St James. The security forces are now hunting other wanted men in the area.

6.12-y-o Mario Dayes missing

The police have activated a High Alert for 12-year-old Mario Dayes of Tavern Drive, Kingston 7 who has been reported missing since Wednesday, November 7.

7.Colonel Daniel Pryce appointed interim executive director for Integrity Commission

The Integrity Commission has appointed Colonel Daniel Pryce as its interim executive director for a period of 12 months, with effect from November 5.

8.Man fined $100k for attempting to bribe police officer

A St James man has been fined $100,000 after pleading guilty to attempting to bribe a police officer. Gregory Haughton-Shaw, who reportedly offered $10,000 to a policeman in a bid to secure the release of his motor vehicle, was sentenced in the St James Parish Court on Friday, October 5.

9.Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee dead at 95: US media

Marvel legend Stan Lee, who revolutionised pop culture as the co-creator of iconic superheroes like Spider-Man and The Hulk who now dominate the world's movie screens, has died. He was 95 years old.

10.No use quibbling over what could have been — Brathwaite

Captain Carlos Brathwaite on Sunday refused to be drawn into speculation over what could have been, after West Indies lost the third Twenty20 International in a dramatic last-ball finish.
