The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) has accepted the admissibility of a case challenging Jamaica's anti-buggery laws.

2. Linstead cop accused of soliciting $50k in ganja bust

A St Catherine policeman is to face the court on December 11 to answer to corruption charges following accusations that he solicited money in exchange for not arresting a man who was reportedly found in possession of ganja.

3. Special Education Policy before Cabinet — Reid

Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Ruel Reid says the Special Education Policy, aimed at providing a framework to meet the educational needs of special students, is now before Cabinet for approval.

4. J'can animation, film delegation makes first appearance at MIPCOM in France

As part of the Business of Sustainability for Studios (BOSS) project, Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), led representatives from eight animation and film/TV production studios to the Marché International des Programmes de Communication (MIPCOM) content trade show in Cannes, France.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Tuesday unveiled a downsized cabinet where, in a first, half the members are women, a top official said.

6. Top female blood donor achieves a century

For the last 35 years, Jamaica's Top Female Blood Donor, Sonya Binns Lawrence, has been serving the nation in her own way, by donating blood three times per year.

7. PHOTOS: NSWMA gets new garbage trucks

The Ministry Of Local Government and Community Development today handed over three compactor garbage trucks, each valuing a little under $25 million, to the National Solid Waste Management Authority for three of its regional entities.

8. Holder moves up in ICC Test rankings

West Indies' Test and ODI Captain, Jason Holder, has moved up in International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings and now holds the ninth position in bowling and third in all-rounder rankings following an impressive year, Cricket West Indies (CWI) disclosed today.

9. Grange lauds Sunshine Girls' clean sweep series win

Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia Grange says “it is nothing short of an excellent performance when the Sunshine Girls can make it a clean sweep in back-to-back netball series.”

10. West Indies coach Law banned for two ODIs

West Indies coach Stuart Law will miss his team's two upcoming one-day internationals against India after a breach of the ICC code of conduct saw him banned by world cricket's ruling body on Tuesday.
