Dear Editor,

It may seem like the voices of our children are going unheard to the relevant authorities. Have we become so heartless as a people that our children are disappearing daily and being killed every other day and we act as if nothing is going on?

We are in a state of hopelessness where the heart of men has become cold towards each other. We should look to preserve the life of our children because they are the future of Jamaica — not to destroy them. It is hard to watch the news or go on social media in these times, if it's not a weeping mother, sister or father asking the whereabouts of their missing loved one, its a friend giving out a contact number to call if you have seen the missing child.

We need to rid the streets of these monsters that have been causing harm to our children and wreaking havoc on the parents and concerned citizens of Jamaica. How long will we let this continue?

How long will parents have to cry and how long will the voices of our little ones continue to go unheard because nothing has been put in place to protect them from these paedophiles. We need to protect our children and we need to do it now.
