Runway mishap forces closure of airport in Montserrat
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Another Fly Montserrat airplane was involved in mishap overshooting the runway at the John Osborne airport in the tiny Caribbean island.
The incident occurred earlier Wednesday forcing a closure of the airport.
No casualties were reported.
This is the second time in just about a week that the airline has been involved in a mishap.
Last week Sunday Jamaican, Annya Duncan, and two others were killed when a Fly Montserrat aircraft crashed in Antigua during take off.
Duncan, who taught at the Montserrat Secondary School, died along with the pilot, Captain Jason Forbes and another female passenger.
