Police fatally shoot St Catherine man

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A man was this afternoon shot dead during a confrontation with the police on Corletts Road, Spanish Town in St Catherine.

He has been identified as 23-year-old Kenny Dayes otherwise called 'Billy' of West Prospect, Bog Walk in the parish.

According to the police, a .38 revolver and three .38 rounds of ammunition were seized during the incident.

The matter, they said, has been reported to the Inspectorate of Constabulary (IOC) and Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
