Police seek assistance in identifying male body

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Detectives at the Hunts Bay police station are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the body of a male who was shot dead by unknown assailants at the intersection of Clydesdale Avenue and Chestervale Avenue in Pembroke Hall, Kingston 20 yesterday.

A report from the police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said that the body appears to be in its mid-twenties, brown complexion, stout build and is about 5 feet 8 inches long, and has a tattoo of the letter 'R' on the left arm.

The body was clad in a white V-neck T- shirt and a pair of stone-washed black jeans.

Reports are that explosions were heard about 4:25 am and the police summoned. The police are now asking anyone with information that can assist them in their investigation to contact the Hunts Bay CIB at 876-923-5626, police 119 emergency or the nearest police station.
