KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Hunts Bay Police are advising members of the public to be on the lookout for counterfeit US $100 notes that may be in circulation.

The police say the caution comes against the background of the seizure of 150 counterfeit US$100 notes by a team from the Mobile Reserve on Mahoe Drive, Kingston 11 on Wednesday, July 11.

A man, 32-year-old Winston Bartley, otherwise called Redman of Tavares Garden, Kingston 11, was arrested and charged with possession of counterfeit notes.

Police reports are that about 11:45 am Bartley was found in possession of the counterfeit notes when the vehicle in which he was travelling was stopped and searched.

The notes have the serial numbers LF74647441J, LL16005565E and LK41997755D, the police say.
